KZ made very cute St. Nicholas crafts!

St. Nicholas was very generous and gave to the poor. He was thankful to God for his life and showed his love for God by giving to others. The Kindergarten class of KK is being generous and showing their love just like St. Nicholas would have. They have made cards and will give them to the seniors at the Wheatland Lodge.

Last Friday our 6C & 6D classes put on a beautiful Advent Wreath Blessing & Food Drive Assembly. Deacon Paul shared his blessing over all of our Advent wreaths, so that we may pray and rejoice as we wait for the coming of the Lord.

Thank you to the Kindergarten students and families who were able to join in our annual Family Advent Wreath Night. Children learn that Advent marks the beginning of the liturgical year and is the season during which we prepare to celebrate the birth of Jesus at Christmas by showing love and kindness to others.

The very popular and awaited "Kids Only Christmas Store" will take place on December 12th and 13th at SHA! Over the course of two days, each class will be given two timeslots to visit the store and purchase gifts for family and friends! We will have a variety of options for parents, grandparents, siblings, aunts and uncles, and whomever else your child would like to surprise with a gift chosen personally by them! We will also have gift wrapping stations available so the gifts can be brought home ready for Christmas! If you would like your child to take part, please send them with a Ziploc bag of money. Items will range in price between $2 and $7! THE MAIN REASON we hold this fun Christmas store is to sponsor Sacred Heart's two foster children! Any funds raised go toward paying our annual Chalice sponsorship for our foster kids, Neyver Gustavo Campos Cruz, an 8 year old boy from Chiclayo site, Peru and Santhi Chodipilli, a 17 year old girl from Makkuva, India. #weareSHA #SHAfaith #SHAfamily

Thank you to the members of the Strathmore Fire Department who took time today to come and teach the Grade 3’s about ice safety. A timely lesson for our Science unit on Matter and the changing conditions on the bodies of water in our community.
