WAY TO GO SHA!!! Thanks to all of your contributions, the Strathmore & District Christmas Hamper Society has an additional 1200 items and $300 to go towards making Christmas Hampers this year! Your donations have helped the grade 6 students to exceed their items goal of 900 items! “And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that by always having enough of everything, you may share abundantly in every good work” – 2 Corintians 9:8 Thank You Sacred Heart Academy for your overwhelming and continued support in making our Food Drive such a success again this year!
Please join us for the Grade 1 -3 Christmas performance.
Please join us for the Grade 4 - 6 Christmas Performance!
The very popular and awaited "Kids Only Christmas Store" will take place on December 12th and 13th at SHA! Over the course of two days, each class will be given two timeslots to visit the store and purchase gifts for family and friends! We will have a variety of options for parents, grandparents, siblings, aunts and uncles, and whomever else your child would like to surprise with a gift chosen personally by them! We will also have gift wrapping stations available so the gifts can be brought home ready for Christmas! If you would like your child to take part, please send them with a Ziploc bag of money. Items will range in price between $2 and $7! THE MAIN REASON we hold this fun Christmas store is to sponsor Sacred Heart's two foster children! Any funds raised go toward paying our annual Chalice sponsorship for our foster kids, Neyver Gustavo Campos Cruz, an 8 year old boy from Chiclayo site, Peru and Santhi Chodipilli, a 17 year old girl from Makkuva, India. #weareSHA #SHAfaith #SHAfamily
God of Peace, As we draw ever nearer to the birth of your Son, fill us with reverence as we look to the future. Teach us to be better followers of your Word. May our peace be greater than yesterday, deepen in our hearts today, and continue to grow beyond tomorrow. Amen
The second week of Advent takes us from thinking about hope to a related idea - peace - something we all need to think more about. Let's take a look at the beautiful reminders we experience during the second week of Advent.
Come celebrate our Precious in His Sight Assembly & Awards at 11:20 on December 15th! #SHAspirit #weareSHA #IBelieveinCatholicEd #SHAfamily
3N Assembly "In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”
December 8th - Precious in His Sight Awards
On a snowy night, friends and family gathered to support their Kindergarten loved ones in the performance of "Jesus' Christmas Party" by Nicholas Allan. There was lots of singing and smiles. The perfect night to get in the Christmas spirit.
TRANSPORTATION UPDATE 6:15 am – December 08, 2023 All of our schools are open, but some rural routes might not run due to icy conditions and accumulation of snow. Although conditions appear to have improved, significant snowfall and drifting on rural roads has created unsafe driving conditions. We expect in-town buses to run in all communities, but we anticipate that road conditions might cause some to run late. Even where we initially determine that rural buses can travel, individual bus drivers have the authority to cancel routes if they determine that local conditions may be unsafe. In the case that a route is cancelled, Southland Transportation will contact families. Students and staff driving to school should use extra caution and plan for additional travel time. Please do not leave children unattended at bus stops, and please ensure that they are dressed appropriately for the conditions. CTR will continue to monitor the road conditions throughout the day. For up-to-date transportation information, please click on “Bus Status” on the divisional website at www.redeemer.ab.ca
